Developer Days In India The ServiceNow Developer Advocacy team just completed a lovely and extended visit to India. India has the most significant number of ServiceNow developers outside of the United States of America. Having so many developers makes it a pivotal place to visit to engage, empower, inspire, and listen to developers. The key events were developer meetups and all-day workshops at multiple locations. Dave Slusher - an experienced hand at India trips - and Andrew Barnes traveled from the east coast of the USA.

The ServiceNow Developer Program recently went on the road to visit London. NowForum: London edition featured one full day of content just for developers with 800 attendees. The second day which was for all things ServiceNow had 2,500 attendees. Dave Slusher, Chuck Tomasi, Jason Mckee, and Andrew Barnes were all teaching workshops on day 1 of the event. Developer Days From now until the end of the year ServiceNow and the developer program will be hosting events at several locations around the world. Dave Slusher and Andrew Barnes will be at several of these events. We hope you are able to attend and meet in person while learning more about ServiceNow!
The one day events are typically focused on the new developer. The 2nd of a two day event is targeted towards moderately experienced developers.
In September 2017, a group of us convened in San Diego for a CreatorCon on the Road event. We spent a day at the Paradise Point resort with Pat Casey, Joe Davis and Jonathan Sparks reprising their keynotes from Orlando earlier this year. After that we had a full day of breakout sessions and workshops, along with exhibits and pods showing off various projects. We now have a set of the breakout talks posted on our Developer Program YouTube channel.
Last spring several of us with the developer program had a trip to India to put on some Developer Days events. We returned again in August to bring the CreatorCon on the Road experience to the country.
One of the main drivers of the timing was the fact that the new ServiceNow office in Hyderabad was opening on August 9th so there would be a puja ceremony and festivities around that.
If you attended Knowledge 17 (or CreatorCon on the road in India or San Diego) and happened to be walking past certain breakout rooms, you might have mistaken the high pitched buzzing you heard for a fire or security alarm, and no one would blame you…that’s certainly what it sounded like. But nope, you just happened to walk past the IoT Intelligence and Automation with ServiceNow lab in progress.
CreatorCon is just around the corner. Right around this time every year, the reality sets in: I HAVE TO PACK! I then start the process of trying to remember all of the things that I wish I’d remembered last year - what to bring, what to wear, what to prepare for.

After concluding the Hyderabad Developer Day event, we rolled right into the evening program. The reason for having a separate event in the evening was two-fold. It both allowed for us to serve the population of people who couldn’t take the whole day off work but also was intended to build an organization around an ongoing Hyderabad ServiceNow Developer Meetup.
The ServiceNow Developer Program recently went on the road in the form of a road trip to India. This will be a bit of a departure for blog posts here in the form of a trip report. We will return you to your regular diet of nerdy technical posts shortly.
India is an important market for the Developer Program. By any metric you choose to examine, it is always the second largest demographic behind the USA.
